This is the blog of Michael Kern, Craniosacral Therapist and former Osteopath. Michael is the author of the book ‘Wisdom in the Body – The Craniosacral Approach to Essential Health’, which is now available in ten languages, and has also taught Craniosacral Therapy around the world since 1987.

Michael Kern is a pioneer in the teaching of Craniosacral Therapy, and he has travelled the world to teach this approach to health care professionals.

The blog will cover Kern’s work with the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust – which he founded in 1989 – and include further information about the principles and practice of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.

News and information about the latest research findings in Osteopathy and Craniosacral Therapy will also be shared.

Currently, Kern is teaching courses in Russia, Denmark, Poland, Holland, Germany, Sweden and the Czech Republic. He has previously taught in several UK institutions, including the University of Westminster, the College of Osteopaths and the International Cranial Association.

Drukpa Trust

Personal topics will be covered too, particularly relating to the Drukpa Trust – the UK registered charity with Michael Kern as its founding Trustee. This blog will report on the work of the charity, that operates in the Himalayas to develop educational and humanitarian projects. Kern founded the charity in 1992, which has since been responsible for starting an award-winning school in the Indian Himalayas that provides a quality education for around 950 children.


The latest news and developments from the Drukpa Trust will be outlined and this blog will also explore ideas around education and culture, in relation to the charity. Michael Kern has travelled extensively in Himalayan countries such as Tibet, Ladakh in India, Nepal and Bhutan, and there will be further articles relating to these regions.
